Ruth Langsford: This Morning host in tears after major on-air mistake 'I got a b****cking'

However, Ruth, because she was “inexperienced” at the time, could not think of any further questions to ask the pageant contestant and found herself “bailing” out of the interview.

She continued: “I was inexperienced…so all the cameras were on me and I just bailed. I had asked the many questions I had written, and I heard the PA in my ear go, ‘Three minutes’.

“I had written my questions on a card, and I remember that final panic. I glanced down, I had asked all the questions, so I just went, ‘Thank you, Ken’.

“I remember this camera flying across the studio floor and Oh My God I got such a b****cking from the then editor of the show.”
