Saira Banu asks fans to pray for Dilip Kumar's health; says, 'He’s not too well' | Bollywood Life



Dilip Kumar is one of the gems of the Hindi Film industry. The nonagenarian is however not too well. His dearest-wifey and actress Saira Banu has asked his fans to pray for his health as he is not doing well. She said that she does not ask this to get praises for being a doting wife but out of love and adulation for him. Talking to the Times of India, the actress revealed, “It is out of love and not duress that I look after Dilip saab. I am not looking for praises to be called a devoted wife. Just to touch him and cuddle him is the world’s best thing that’s happening to me. On the Aan actor’s present health condition, the Padoson actress said, “He’s not too well. He’s weak. At times, he walks into the hall and back to his room. His immunity is low. Pray for his welfare. We are grateful to God for each day.” It was in March when the pandemic struck every country and continent across the globe. The actress has been taking extreme caution as he is at the highest risk of contracting the virus given his age. “I am under complete isolation and quarantine due to the #CoronavirusOutbreak. Saira has left nothing to chance, ensuring I do not catch any infection,” the Twitter handle had tweeted out. This year in October, Dilip Kumar’s brothers, Aslam Khan and Ahsan Khan passed away after contracting coronavirus. It happened just days before Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar were about to celebrate their anniversary on October 11. Given the tragic turn of events, they opted not to have a celebration this year. “Oct. 11, is always the most beautiful day in my life. Dilip Saheb married me on this day and made my cherished dreams come true. This year, we are not celebrating. You all know we lost two of our brothers, Ahsan Bhai and Aslam Bhai,” Saira Banu had said, adding, “The unprecedented turmoil due to the Covid-19 pandemic has taken many lives and caused sorrow in many many families. In the current circumstances, we request all of you, our dear friends, to pray for each other’s safety and well being. May God be with us all.
