SEISS: Concern third grant will leave some Britons out in the cold - eligibility explained

But for those who have been previously excluded, this leaves little legroom for further SEISS support.
Recently, Mike Cherry national chair of the Federation of Small Businesses, acknowledged the positive steps the government was taking, however, he also expressed concern.
He said: “Those excluded from income support throughout this crisis, especially company directors and those newly self-employed, are now facing a significant depression in trade caused by these new restrictions and in many cases have no business at all.
“They deserve to be part of this package of new support but have once again been ignored. The Chancellor should do all he can to address these shortcomings which are urgently needed.”
The SEISS third grant will cover November to January, with the government issuing a taxable grant covering 55 percent of average monthly profits.
