Sky Broadband customers get FREE extra to boost their Wi-Fi speeds
Sky is giving away its optional Wi-Fi Guarantee to anyone who signs up for its Superfast and Ultrafast broadband bundles. Wi-Fi Guarantee will be available to all new customers for free for three months, with those who want to continue with the service after the promotional period charged £5 a month thereafter.
For those who don’t know what Sky’s Wi-Fi Guarantee entails, here’s a quick reminder.
Similar to the Speed Guarantee, which promises a minimum broadband speed coming into your home, the Wi-Fi Guarantee ensures you get at least 3Mbps into every room via wireless connection. If you’re not getting that minimum speed, Sky will help troubleshoot any issues that might be interrupting your signal. If that doesn’t work, Sky can send out a booster to help improve the strength of the Wi-Fi signal, which deteriorates the further away you are from the router.
If neither of these methods helps, Sky will offer a refund. To be eligible, you’ll need to be using Sky-branded networking kit, not third-party alternatives.
