smart home hub: Amazon updated its Fire tablets with Smart Home Hub control center - Times of India

Amazon is expanding Fire tablets capabilities beyond the regular TV shows, books, gaming, browsing and other multimedia activities by adding smart home features to them. According to a report by ZDNet, Amazon is rolling out a new update for Fire tablets that brings the Smart Home Hub feature to them.
The Smart Home section can be found under Device Dashboard which is basically a collection of all the smart home devices at one place from where users can now control their smart devices and other similar devices at once. After installing the update, users can see a new Smart Home button on the navigation bar and this button stays on top of other apps as well that means users can access the hub and control their smart devices from anywhere.
According to the report, not all Fire tablets are compatible with the latest update. Currently, the e-commerce giant has rolled out the update for Amazon Fire 7 (2019), Amazon Fire HD 8 (2018), Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) and Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019).
For those unaware, Amazon has recently launched its updated lineup of Echo devices, Fire TV Stick and more globally. The Echo lineup include 4th-generation Amazon Echo Dot, Echo Dot with clock and Echo smart speakers. Along with this, the company has also launched the new Amazon Echo Show 10 with adjustable HD smart display.
