Sylvie Will Reportedly Return In Multiple MCU Projects Outside Of Loki

Fans have become so engaged and invested in everything that unfolds across the Marvel Cinematic Universe that it’s fascinating to watch opinion change on a dime. Following the Season 1 finale of Disney Plus series Loki, Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie has become the latest to find herself in the online firing line following her actions.

The variant became an instant favorite after making her franchise debut, with the actress’ performance being singled out for constant praise as one of the show’s recurring high points. However, now that it’s been revealed she’s the one responsible for plunging the multiverse into chaos after stabbing He Who Remains through the heart, Sylvie is facing the sort of backlash from MCU enthusiasts that Star-Lord received when he too let the emotions get the better of him in Avengers: Infinity War, just as the gauntlet was about to be snatched from Thanos’ grasp.

Season 2 was confirmed during the credits of Loki‘s final episode, but we’re hearing from our sources – the same ones who told us that Anthony Mackie was getting his own movie long before Captain America 4 was announced – that Sylvie is set to become a regular fixture throughout the shared mythology as the multiversal fallout continues.

While that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given that she was the one who caused it all and no doubt has plenty of making up to do as the Sacred Timeline splinters in limitless directions, it would at least give Sylvie plenty of opportunity to get the fans back on side, as well as potentially setting up the next stage of her character arc for whenever Season 2 of Loki eventually premieres on streaming.
