Thalaivi: Kangana Ranaut shares these BTS pics from the biopic as a tribute on Jayalalithaa's death anniversar



Kangana Ranaut and her team are moving full steam ahead with the Jayalalithaa biopic, Thalaivi, and it looks like the film is shaping quite well. Now, on the occasion of the charismatic actress and political leader’s death anniversary, Kangana has shared a couple of BTS images from the movie, and what strikes us at first glance is the striking resemblance her overall look and getup bears to Jayalalithaa. In fact, it’ this aspect that has caught everyone’s attention from the very first look and continues to do so, which has only enhanced excitement for the film. Kangana Ranaut can be seen in a crisp, neatly draped white saree with a red-and-black border, similar to the one Jayalalithaa used to wear for her political rallies. Sharing the pictures on her official Twitter handle, the National-Award-winning actress wrote: “On the death anniversary of Jaya Amma, sharing some working stills from our film Thalaivi- the revolutionary leader. Opening up about doing the biopic, Kangana had earlier said, “Jayalalithaa ji is one of the biggest female success stories of this century. She was a superstar and went on to become an iconic politician, it’s a great concept for a mainstream film. Thalaivi, which is directed by AL Vijay, chronicles the journey of Jayalalithaa from a movie star to an influential political leader. Hollywood prosthetics wizard Jason Collins of Captain Marvel-fame has worked on Ranaut’s look in the movie.
