The Last of Us Series: HBO Max Releases the Preview for Episode 9, the Season 1 Finale, Here Is What You Can Expect

The Last of Us series by HBO, has quickly become one of the most popular shows of 2023. It has also managed to surpass many records set by series that were released in the previous years. Players of the game and fans of the show find themselves waiting patiently for a new episode to be released every Sunday since its debut on January 15, 2023. Alas, as Episode 8 just released, we are now waiting for the final episode of season 1 to release this coming Sunday.

HBO Max has just released a preview trailer series finale, Episode 9 of season 1. Readers should know that the information ahead will contain spoilers if they haven’t played the game or watched the series until episode 8. If you haven’t reached that point, then it is advisable to not read ahead.

The Last of Us series Episode 8 saw a courageous and now skilled Ellie, portrayed by Bella Ramsey, hunting for food and resources. The story ahead then sees a heavily-injured Joel, played by Pedro Pascal and Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey facing off against a group of cannibals. After overcoming a series of struggles and obstacles, the duo are finally reunited and are now the last sprint of their cross-country journey.

The Last of Us Episode 9 preview kicks off with Joel and Ellie seemingly reaching their finish point and are suddenly attacked by a grenade. We then get to see a whole bunch of action as Joel is seen entering a room with guns blazing and Ellie facing off against an infected. The preview ends with Ellie telling Joel, “After all we’ve been through, it can’t be for nothing? There’s no halfway with this, we finish what we started.”
