The theme track of Stranger Things gets an epic Indian version

Stranger Things, the sci-fi horror series is finally coming back with a fourth installment. The show starring Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin and more is perhaps one of the biggest shows on OTT. Just the synth theme track is enough to take fans back to Hawkins. Ahead of season four’s release, an Indian version of the soundtrack has dropped and it’s a stunning rendition, to say the least.

Music maestro Ilaiyaraaja has given the Stranger Things theme an Indian twist. The composer transforms the synth-heavy track with his own orchestration style. Check out Ilaiyaraaja’s theme and its desi music video here:

The composer’s version of the Stranger Things theme is at once haunting and immersive. He might have just made it better.

The official synopsis of Stranger Things season 4 reads – It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.
