Three UK customers are about to unlock an amazing boost from Google
Data storage – we all need more of it, whether it’s to stash important work files, back-up family photos, or keep crucial banking documents safe. Thankfully, the latest deal from Three is here to help. Three UK’s newest customer benefit will be a welcome bonus to those signing up for the mobile network’s smartphone and broadband deals.
Both new and existing customers will be able to sign up for 100GB of free Google One cloud storage. This will give you access to more storage across all Google’s popular products, including Google Drive, Google Photos, and Gmail.
Plus, you’ll be able to share the love with up to five extra people.
To put that extra storage into perspective, it’s enough to store 66 movies in High Definition, 50,000 high-resolution photos, or 100,000 eBooks.
Google One also supports phone backups too, which can include contacts, WhatsApp messages and app history. Customers can also take advantage of Google One membership benefits, like Google Play credits and discounts on other products. Pretty generous if you ask us.
The offer is available not just to customers on Pay Monthly contracts, but also Pay As You Go, mobile and home broadband users.
However, there is a catch. The deal will only be available for a three-month period. After that, you’ll be reverted back to the default 15GB free plan available to all Google Drive and Google Photos customers, and might have to delete files if you’ve blown through the storage.
Happily, Google will let you keep all your storage after the trial – for a price. It’s £1.59 per month to continue with the 100GB plan, which isn’t too shabby. If you don’t cancel the trial, you’ll automatically start paying this rate. If you have used all of the storage, your files will not be deleted. However, you won’t be able to add any new files without paying for the same storage plan (or deleting enough stuff to get back below the 15GB threshold available to all users for free).
Three customers can head over to the signup page and enter your phone number to take advantage of the offer.
Three said of the deal: “With your Google Account, you already get 15GB of storage, but for those of you who love taking photos and storing your files all in one place, subscribing to Google One will mean you don’t have to pick and choose what gets to stay. With 100GB of storage for all your photos and files, every memory gets saved.”
Three isn’t the only UK network handing out goodies at the moment. EE recently announced it is adding Netflix to its Smart Benefits for customers on certain contracts. That’s alongside existing Apple Music, BT Sports and free video data bonuses.
O2 bundles include Amazon Music, Prime Video, Audible and Calm subscriptions, while Vodafone offers discounts on high street shops and local restaurants.
