Tumbbad is still fresh in minds of whosoever who has seen the film. Sohum Shah who played the main role is set for a new innings. It is reported that he has bagged the role of former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav for an upcoming project. The show is being made for the web and will release in 2021. The show will come on an Indian OTT platform. The former CM has had a very eventful life, and we are excited to imagine Sohum Shah in the role. More details of the project are yet to be revealed. It seems the makers are very tight-lipped about the developments.
A source told us that Sohum Shah tried five different looks before the makers zeroed in for the look of Lalu Prasad Yadav. The clips and videos have been guarded very well. The makers want to make a big development with no leaks. This is the first time that the life of Lalu Prasad Yadav is being documented for reel. The political leader of Bihar who is known for his somewhat comic personality is now undergoing treatment for kidney issues. In the past, we have seen characters inspired by him on TV and films.
Sohum Shah won over the masses and classes with his work in Tumbbad. The film, which was a horror-thriller was shot in Konkan. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s career was defined by the enormous fodder scam that led to his fall from grace. We cannot wait to see Sohum Shah in the role.
