Universal Credit: Will Boris scrap £20 increase to Universal Credit?

Sir Keir Starmer called Mr Johnson “pathetic” for telling Tories not to vote on the motion and said “in their heart of hearts”, Conservative MPs would back Labour’s move.
Despite Mr Johnson’s request not to vote, six Conservative MPs ignored this and voted in favour.
The MPs to rebel were Peter Aldous, Robert Halfon, Jason McCartney, Anne Marie Morris, Matthew Offord and Stephen Crabb.
Mr Crabb, former work and pensions secretary, called for the £20 weekly increase to be kept in place for another year to help those impacted by the pandemic.
