They include business tax breaks, entrepreneurship grants and enterprise zones. Mr Warner said: “There are going to be tons of opportunities. The challenge is what to do now as the furlough goes away.”

Saying we should emulate the Iron Lady’s 1980s transformation of business, he added: “Because of Thatcherism, privatisation worked.

“Ultimately, they’re looking for job creators but we’ve learned we can’t rely on import jobs coming in from Apple and other people. So you have to create it at the grassroots level.

“It’s better to have 200-300,000 businesses hiring anything between five to 20 people over the next 10 years than it is to prop up some large companies.

“They have got to propagate innovation. They have got to think like that otherwise we will end up getting caught behind.

“But they are going to have to really think about those incentives while they open up all the different markets.”

US-based Mr Warner, from Biggin Hill, Kent, is CEO of aircraft developer Autonomous Flight and indie film platform Flix Premiere.

He also pioneers mentoring in business and runs entrepreneurship courses which have helped more than 250,000 people advance their careers.

Now, speaking to launch a new podcast with Grammy award-winning British DJ and record producer Jax Jones, he said the pandemic took people by surprise.

Mr Warner said: “Everyone got caught with their pants down. But mistakes are made and that’s just human nature.

“What’s amazing about human resilience and human capital is that we always seem to find a way forward.”

Jax, 33, said cinema, music and the arts needs help to bounce back, adding: “The way the Government has treated the night-time economy is disgusting. It’s a huge contributor to [gross domestic product].

“It’s always felt like a second-class citizen whereas we are as important as sporting events.”
