Windows 11 2022 Update Brings Controller Bar, Windowed Game Optimizations and HDR Calibration Options
Windows 11 has a fresh 2022 update and it brings lots of exciting features and enhancements to the software. The latest update keeps gaming on PC in mind and brings upgrades to support that better. The new update brings a Controller bar, optimizations for windowed games and new HDR calibration options. Lets check out these new features in depth.
Players will now be able to access their recently installed games much faster, thanks to the addition of the Controller Bar. Now the games are just a button press away for the players. Players just have to connect their Xbox Controller to their PC and press the Xbox Button to access the controller friendly menu where all your games can be accessed with one button.
Graphics Enhancements for Windowed Games
As mentioned earlier, the Window 11 2022 Update is a gamer centric one, and it provides a plethora of graphic improvements for the players. Windowed games that run on DirectX 10 and 11 will now have improved display latency, Auto HDR, and variable refresh rate, these features were only available when playing in fullscreen, now available for windowed games too.
HDR calibration also gets a neat upgrade for the HDR Calibration app. Through the new enhancements players will now be able to improve their colour accuracy and consistency of their HDR displays. Through this update, the players will manage to avoid the ‘clipping’ affect which reduces detail in a game. Players will also be able to customize the color saturation of all content when HDR is turned on and the content will be a lot more vivid.
Built-in Game Pass
Windows 11 will now have access to Game Pass directly through the Xbox App. Through the new update the players will be able to experience these games with higher fidelity and also access them faster with the new Controller Bar. Players will also be able to try out any of the console games through Cloud Gaming if they have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
New Gaming Features for Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge has also received some significant improvements for gaming as their goal is to make ‘the best browser for games’. A newly designed homepage will now allow players to get in to games faster and also earn Microsoft Reward points as soon as the browser is launched. Another exciting feature is the built-in Clarity Boost which will help the cloud games look a lot sharper and clearer. Efficiency Mode will also help in bringing down Browser resource usage.
