A TikToker Spotted a Major Editing Error in 'The Last of Us' That You Can't Un-See

Anyone else watch last week’s episode of The Last of Us? That’s rhetorical since the answer is clearly OBVIOUSLY, and in case you were too caught up in the show/your ongoing fear of mushrooms to notice, there was a kinda major editing error.
TikToker @domineo32 was the first to notice the moment, which involves Joel and Ellie walking over a snowy bridge…with a buncha people who most definitely look like crew members at the edge of the shot.

This is clearly reminiscent of when HBO left what initially appeared to be a Starbucks cup in Game of Thrones, just like, chilling on the table in front of Daenerys Targaryen.
HBO ended up digitally removing the cup from the episode, and issued a statement saying, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.” Heh.

Meanwhile, GoT art director Hauke Richter told TMZ that the cup wasn’t from Starbucks, adding, “We are usually so diligent that this does not happen. The shoot was very hard and demanding and it is likely that after a very tiring ep 3 shoot, this was simply overlooked by an exhausted crew.”
Oh, and executive producer Bernie Caulfield also commented on the mistake in an interview with WNYC radio, saying, “We’re sorry! Westeros was the first place to actually, you know, have Starbucks,” and then adding, “If that’s the worst thing they’re finding then we’re in good shape.”
HBO has yet to speak out about seemingly leaving film crew in the shot for The Last of Us, but stay tuned?
