Aldi updates Christmas shopping rules and opening hours - what customers need to know

Discount retailer Aldi is just one of the supermarkets doing everything they can to help their customers stay safe during the pandemic. As England’s lockdown is coming to an end, and Christmas is just around the corner, Aldi CEO Giles Hurley has updated shoppers one everything they need to know.
For vulnerable and elderly customers, every Monday to Saturday, all stores remain open 30 minutes prior to usual opening times to help them shop when the store is quieter.
Mr Hurley went on: “For all groups entitled to a Blue Light card, including NHS and social care workers, our priority access remains in place. These groups continue to have exclusive access to our stores 30 minutes before normal opening on Sundays in addition to priority access at all other items.”
The supermarket is also urging people to shop alone where possible, and adhere to the one person per trolley policy.
The CEO added: “We will of course allow customers to shop with others, should they have no alternative.”
