Asda introduces new rapid online service to deliver groceries in just 30 minutes

Asda has noticed a surge in online orders for delivery this year. Shoppers can now get speedy delivery in more stores in the UK.

The supermarket giant has partnered up with Uber Eats to offer speedy delivery for customers.

How does it work?

The scheme was originally trialled in 25 stores in the UK during summer this year.

It has now been rolled out to more shoppers and is available in 100 stores nationwide.

Shoppers can simply sign up for the Uber Eats app and order groceries as they would takeaway meals.

Customers pick from 350 items including fruit and vegetables, ready meals and drinks.

There is a mix of Asda products and branded essentials available.

Once the order is confirmed, the items will be picked in stores by an Asda colleague.

“Customers in these stores now have even more options to get their favourite Asda brand and branded products quickly delivered to the doorstep.”

Uber Eats general manager Toussaint Wattinne added: “With the festive season underway, there is once again a growing demand for more grocery delivery options.
