Bergdorf Goodman and Veronica Beard Honor Inspiring Women With an Intimate Dinner

Last night, a group of stylishly dressed women shuffled past the designer bags encased in glass on Bergdorf Goodman’s main lobby before ascending to the seventh floor. There, they were met with a feminine fête hosted by Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard of Veronica Beard.

In honor of their latest campaign entitled “Make it Happen,” the sisters-in-law rallied a group of inspiring women who are finding success in their own unique ways. There were models turned beauty industry CEOs and writers that doubled as activists. Even Amanda Nguyen, one of the young social entrepreneurs involved in proposing and drafting the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Rights act, was present and enjoying the quintessential New York setting.

“Our brand is about honoring the woman who is the doer, the shaker, and the mover. She lives life to the fullest and goes for it. She leads and makes it happen,” the Beards said to the evening’s guests. “The Make it Happen campaign is a toast to all of you to say thank you for inspiring us in more ways than one.”

Upon entrance, guests immortalized the evening with a polaroid photo. As Champagne flutes continued to float around, guests slowly made their way to take their seats for dinner, which boasted a romantic view of Central Park. Conversations about the past year, what’s on the reading list, and plans for upcoming projects filled the air.

Soon after, a panel of four women assembled before the guests. Moderated by Pinterest’s head of content and creator partnerships Aya Kanai, writer and activist Jodie Patterson, founder Marina Larroude, and artist Quentin Jones unveiled their secrets for success and fulfillment in life. Everything from guilty pleasures to methods of relaxation to sources inspirations were authentically shared. Perhaps the main takeaway from the evening is that oftentimes, the best source of inspiration comes from one another.
