Bill Bailey, 55, has had a successful career in the entertainment industry and is well-known for his stand-up comedy work. Bill has reached the semi-finals of this years BBC’s popular dancing show, Strictly Come Dancing. How much has he earned?

As well as acting, the star has had several stand-up comedy specials and appeared on many shows including Never mind the Buzzcocks, QI and Have I Got News for You.

In both 2007 and in again in 2010, he was voted the seventh greatest stand-up comedian on Channel 4’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups.

He also received the Best Live Stand-Up Award at the British Comedy Awards.

In his personal life, Bill lives in Hammersmith with his Wife Kristin.

He is paired with professional dance partner Oti Mabuse, and the duo have reached the semi-finals which takes place tonight.

It is reported that each contestant receives around £25,000 for taking part and if they manage to stay on the dance floor, this can rise to anywhere between £40,000 and £60,000.
