Can you go on holiday in Tier 2?

Announcing the new tiers, Health Secretary Matt Hancock told the House of Commons the revised system would allow for greater freedom than was allowed during lockdown, but they must be tougher than before. Mr Hancock said the decisions were “not easy but they are necessary”. He added: “While all three tiers are less stringent than the national lockdown we are living under now… more areas than before will be in the top two tiers.”
Can you go on holiday in Tier 2?
Residents of England living in Tier 2 will be able to go on holiday when the lockdown ends.
In fact, the same rules apply to travel across all three tiers, no matter where you live, when it comes to going abroad.
However, it is worth noting the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is still advising against non-essential international countries to states not on its air bridge list.
If you go somewhere not on the travel corridor list, you will not be covered by travel insurance.
