How to dry orange slices

Drying oranges is easier than you’d think, and the process takes about four hours from start to finish.

How many oranges you need depends on what you’re using the dried orange slices for.

Make sure the oranges you select are not bruised

You’ll need a sharp knife, an oven, a tray, paper towels, and a chopping board.

Make sure you turn the oranges every half an hour to avoid burning them.

Cook until completely dry, and then turn off the oven and take the tray out.

Once cool, place each slice onto a paper towel to dry out further.

Another option is to dehydrate your oranges in a dehydrator at 110 degrees.

How long do dried oranges last?

If you store dried oranges properly, they can last about two years.

After using your decorations, you need to store them in a glass jar with an air-tight lid to reuse next time.
