Morrisons is banning all plastic bags from stores

The change will come into force in every Morrisons supermarket in the UK. It is the next step in the company’s bid to reduce single-use plastic.
Morrisons will no longer sell plastic bags in its stores and instead, paper bags will be available for customers.
The paper bags can hold up to 16kg and Morrisons said they are “reusable, recyclable, water resistant, tear resistant”.
The paper bags will cost 30p and there will be cotton and woven bags available too, costing between 75p and £2.50.
Morrisons has said it will save 3,200 tonnes of plastic per year by scrapping plastic bags from its stores.
