How to self isolate
Self isolation means not leaving your home under any circumstances for a specific amount of time, which is normally at least 10 days.
You cannot go to work, school, or any other public places, and you can’t use public transport or taxis.
You can’t even leave your home for exercise- this needs to be done indoors or in your garden.
If you need food and medicine, you should order it online or by phone or ask someone to bring it to you.
They’ll need to drop it on your doorstep though, since no visitors are allowed inside your home.
The only exception to this rule is to allow people giving essential care into your home.

Household members should limit close contact with each other by spending as little time as possible in shared spaces and staying in separate rooms.
If you are the only person in the house with symptoms, you should ask the people you live with to bring you meals, give you space, and help you to clean.
You should also try and use separate bathrooms or clean shared bathrooms after use.
If you start to show symptoms during the self isolation period of 10 days, you should take a coronavirus test.
A positive test result means you have to start the isolation period again and stay at home for a full 10 days from the day you get your result.
If other household members get symptoms during this time, you won’t need to isolate for longer.
