Richard Osman net worth as Steven Spielberg adapts best selling book Thursday Murder Club
Richard Osman, the Pointless quiz whizz, claimed in August legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg has bought the rights to his debut novel, The Thursday Murder Club. The presenter-turned-writer began writing the book two years ago.
He is appearing on Good Morning Britain today to disuss the news with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
Back in August 2020 he told The One Show: “I started writing it completely in secret because the last thing anyone wants is someone on telly writing a book, so I thought I’ll write it in secret and show it to someone I trust, then I will look them in the eyes and ask them ‘Is it any good?’
“They very kindly said it was really good. It’s called The Thursday Murder Club, it’s a crime novel… Literally since then it’s gone absolutely crazy.
“It’s sold around the world. I’ve sold the film rights… but only to Steven Spielberg.”

“I have news,” he told his 785,000 Twitter followers.
“I’ve spent the last 18 months writing a novel, ‘The Thursday Murder Club’.
“A month ago I finally showed it to someone and then all this happened.”
The book tells the story of four retirement village residents who come across a live murder case.
What is Coleen Nolan’s net worth?
According to Spears Magazine, the presenter is worth an impressive £3million.
Coleen became a regular panellist on ITV’s Loose Women in 2000 and has been presenting the show on and off ever since.
She left the chat show in 2011 but returned two years later.
