Sainsbury's warns shoppers must wear face masks and shop alone as restrictions tighten

Sainsbury’s has updated shopping rules for customers and asked those visiting branches to do so alone. Security will also be introduced to ensure all shoppers are wearing face coverings.
Customers have also been asked to shop alone with one adult per trolley.
This can help cut back on the number of people entering stores and make social distancing easier to maintain.
Chief Executive of Sainsbury’s Simon Roberts stated: “I’ve spent a lot of time in our stores reviewing the latest situation over the last few days and on behalf of all my colleagues, I am asking our customers to help us keep everyone safe.
“The vast majority of customers are shopping safely, but I have also seen some customers trying to shop without a mask and shopping in larger family groups.
