Sophie, Countess of Wessex’s ‘confidence has increased’ in her years as a royal

Being a member of the Royal Family means following certain rules and protocol.

Sophie and Edward follow these rituals in public, which according to Judi make them look “more practical and less romantic”.

Looking at photos of the pair together, the body language expert shared her thoughts on what their relationship might look like.

Judi continued: “Unlike the fireworks between his brothers and their wives, Edward’s marriage to Sophie began with a huge amount of press and public interest before they slowly slid under the radar to get on with their lives and their relationship and start their family.”

Looking at a photo of the then newly-engaged couple, Judi said: “Edward and Sophie looked more practical and less romantic.

“Dressed in suits that looked right for a day at the office, their poses looked more professional too.

“Take Sophie’s hand out of Edward’s arm and they could be business colleagues posing together for a corporate photo.”

However more recently, when out in public, the pair seem to be showing more affection and love toward each other, Judi said.

This can be seen in a recent visit the couple made to a farm in London.

Judi explained: “All their recent appearances, including the very tricky one when they had the job of providing a human buffer between William and Harry at their last public outing together, have shown them looking actively happy and delighted with each other.

“Maturity and parenthood seems to suit them, as does the way the power-balance has come down firmly in Sophie’s favour, with Edward apparently happy to take a bit of a back seat.”
