Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s & Aldi latest delivery updates – some offering free delivery
Supermarkets including Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury’s offer customers home delivery services on groceries. Discount retailer Aldi offers home delivery on Specialbuys and a Click & Collect service for groceries. The food stores have regularly updated their delivery services throughout the last year.
Asda’s delivery prices range between £1 and £4.50, depending on when the time slot is booked for.
Cheapest delivery slots tend to be on weekdays in the afternoon and evenings.
Like Tesco, a minimum order of £40 is needed in order to be eligible for home delivery.
For customers who regularly shop online at Asda, the supermarket has a Grocery Delivery Pass which entitles shoppers to free delivery anytime for specific days.
The 12 month plan can be purchased online and be paid either monthly for £6 a month or a one-off payment of £72.
There is also a midweek 12-month pass for deliveries on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, which costs £35.
Sainsbury’s has a minimum order of £25 and delivery prices range between £1 and £7, depending on the time they are booked for.
The supermarket is also offering customers free delivery on orders over £100 delivered between Monday and Thursday after 2pm.
This could help save customers up to £7 in delivery charges.
Like other rivals, the retailer also has delivery passes, including a midweek pass and an anytime pass.
The midweek pass is available for three months, six months or one year, with a minimum spend of £40 per shop.
Aldi offers home delivery on Specialbuys as well as groceries being able to be ordered via Click & Collect and Deliveroo.
Customers have a range of delivery options on Specialbuys items including a next day option.
At the moment, the discount retailer is offering shoppers free extra-large item delivery on selected products, which usually costs £9.95.
This can be claimed when entering the code FREEDELIVERY at the checkout.
