Tesco make huge changes to Clubcard scheme as voucher rules change

Tesco’s Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to build up points when shopping in-store and online which then turns into vouchers to be spent on various different things. However there are a couple of changes coming to the point scheme in the New Year.
Clubcard vouchers can be used to save money in-store, online and on fuel at Tesco filling stations as well as Esso sites with a Tesco Express.
They can also be used to save money on holidays, personal breakdown cover and eating out.
Tesco is also ending some key partnerships with brands.
Presently, British Airways Executive Club Members can collect Avios with Tesco by converting their Clubcard points to Avoid.
Tesco said: “You can still collect and convert Clubcard points into Avios up to and including this date.”
Another change coming to the system in January is the ending of Tesco’s partnership with Now TV.
Currently, customers can spend their collected points on Now TV credit with it tripling in value.
However from next month, the deal will no longer be available for shoppers and they won’t be able to exchange it for credit.
A statement on the Tesco website reads: “Unfortunately, NOW TV will leave the Clubcard scheme on 31 January 2021.
“You will be able to exchange your Clubcard vouchers until this date and any vouchers you receive must be redeemed before the expiry date included in your latest email.”
With Christmas just around the corner, the supermarket giant is also making changes to the way customers can shop for Christmas goods this year.
With high demand for their delivery service, Tesco has more options for shoppers to collect their festive food.
The Click+Collect service, which has more availability in the lead up to Christmas is available at various Tesco stores.
