Wales holidays: Can you stay overnight in Wales under new Covid rules?

First Minister Mark Drakeford has lifted the measures on travellers from other parts of the UK into Wales. Wales went into a firebreak lockdown in November shortly before England entered its own month-long lockdown on November 5.
Under England’s national lockdown, travellers from the country were not allowed to travel to Wales unless for an essential reason.
Wales is a popular destination for UK holidays – the unpredictable weather aside, Wales welcomed 87 million people on day-trips to the country in 2019.
The tourism industry in Wales accounts for almost 10 percent of its workforce, which has been hit hard by restrictions relating to the coronavirus pandemic.
While Wales is not currently in lockdown, there are still heavy restrictions in place, including a ban on pubs serving alcohol.
