Thanks to cocreators Regina Y. Hicks and Wanda’s genius comedy and the support of fans everywhere, Netflix has officially renewed The Upshaws for a second season. Wanda, who plays Lucretia, confirmed the renewal with a fun Instagram announcement video on Thursday featuring her fellow cast members dancing and celebrating. She captioned the special post, “Season ✌?#TheUpshaws @netflix.”

Of course, Wanda’s followers were more than ecstatic about the renewal and rushed to the comments section to celebrate alongside the cast. “Go on and film season 3 while ya at it,” one fan wrote. “NETFLIX HAD to do that! Season 1 was just too good!,” another said. “Yassssssssssss, I can’t wait! I have binged watched The Upshaws 5 times, and my family is watching it as well. As if Wanda’s announcement wasn’t exciting enough already, fans have yet another reason to be excited: According to Deadline, season 2 will have a total of 16 episodes in it. Season 1, which was released on May 12, was only 10 episodes long. For season 2, the show is expected to run in two batches of eight episodes.
